I love my glass cutting board, but I may be alone on this one.

Awesome things about glass cutting boards:
  1. They are always absolutely non-porous. This means nasty bacteria can't get cozy in there and make germ babies.
  2. They're so easy to clean. You can put glass cutting boards in the dishwasher, unlike wood cutting boards.
  3. They are so cute!
I was totally ready to find hoards of people singing the praises of glass cutting boards when I did a Google search on them. Instead, I discovered a lot of gripes about how they dull knives. Ouch!

The Huffington Post prepared a very extensive report on cutting boards earlier this year. They suggest having two boards: a wood board for veggies and a plastic one for uncooked meat (if you're into that kind of thing).

The article also concluded that Epicurean brand cutting boards are the best boards over all. They are completely nonporous, dishwasher safe, and gentle on knives. Bonus: They're made from recycled materials!
